Education Executive Director

Location: Flower Mound, TX
An innovative learning academy in northern Texas is seeking an Executive Director to lead academy to the next level while aiding with staff development and student growth.  Children range from six months to twelve years old and participate in a wide range of services and environments that are age appropriate.  Services and programs include:
  • adventure and growth activities for infants (full day)
  • hands on projects, language building and social interaction for toddlers (full day)
  • pre-kindergarten programs designed to develop skills and imaginations with science, art, construction, role play and reading areas (full day)
  • preschool environments that focus on language and both physical and cognitive development with small group activities, outdoor activities, and STEAM AHEAD activities (full day)
  • before and after-school programs that keep kids learning after the school day is over (grades K-6)
  • Special programs to encourage health and fitness, foreign language, dance, martial arts, music and computers
  • Private kindergarten is another offering.
Responsibilities include:
  • Desire to increase student enrollment and quality of education for all students
  • Ability to use current and new technology to benefit academy, staff and students
  • Goal oriented and outgoing
  • Ability to market to and network with the community on various levels including parent meetings and events, PTA meetings, school boards, etc.
  • Ability to connect with staff to help develop and retain talent by creating a positive environment and modeling correct motivational behavior for staff, students, and parents for all areas of the academy
  • Orient new families to the academy and maintain open dialogue to positively impact student experience
  • Meet with parents to discuss student successes, discipline, and progress in programs
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • 8+ years’ experience within an academy setting
  • Valid Texas certifications for a learning facility
  • Experience building and creating vision while in a leadership role
  • Technologically savvy (including educational software and hardware, podcasts and apps)
  • Strong history of success in making school environment a wonderful learning environment
  • Highly motivated and energetic self-starter with a passion for helping students
  • Strong decision making skills with excellent communication skills
  • Experience with internal and external marketing strategies
  • Experience with Financial statements, budgeting, and record keeping
