Bookkeeper

Location: Concord, CA
A premier, full service aviation company in Concord, California is currently looking for a bookkeeper to assist in the managing day to day accounting and finance requirements.  Confidentiality, excellent organization and communication skills, and accuracy are important qualifications as well as positive customer relations skills.  The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, reliable and committed to consistently meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities and duties:
  • Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
  • Match purchase orders with invoices
  • Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis
  • Monitor office expenses and tally and enter receipts
  • Create invoices for customers
  • Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances
  • Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets
  • Prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns along with payroll, operating taxes and business taxes
  • Prepare various county and state reporting forms.
Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree in accounting or related field   and /or
  • 2-3 years of applicable experience working in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, or payroll
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps
  • Strong understanding of business and income tax computations and worksheets
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
This position is full time, Monday through Friday and is eligible for benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision , Prescription, Sick pay, 401k and others.
