Receptionist

Location: Westminster, CO
Orchard Veterinary Medical Center, a full service veterinary hospital in Westminster, CO is currently seeking a part time receptionist to join our family focused veterinary team.  The receptionist is the first and last point of contact for all clients and leads the patient experience starting with compassionate care.

Daily duties include:
  • Greeting incoming and exiting patients, check them in and out
  • Providing exemplary customer service
  • Identify and work compassionately with clients in various emotional states
  • Schedule appointments and procedures
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with all clients and fellow staff at all times
  • Process payment transactions
  • Update information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Qualifications include:
  • Previous medical facility experience, preferred
  • Previous EMR experience, preferred
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Compassion and wiliness to treat every client and their pet as family
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn
This position is part time on Mondays (7a-5p), 2 Tuesdays per month (9a-7p), Fridays (7a-5p) and 2-3 Saturdays per month (8a-12p) and will be 24-30 hours per week.  Transition to full time may be possible.  Anticipated wage is $13-$15/ hr DOE with “In Clinic” benefits.
