Occupational Therapist “A Day in the Life”
  • Assessing and evaluating patients care needs related to:
    • Functional Status
    • Activities of daily living/Fine motor coordination
    • Medical conditions
  • Based on the assessment and evaluation of the above:
    • Determine a treatment plan
    • Performs interventions aimed at improving and enhancing the patient’s wellbeing
    • Evaluates the patients progress
 
Is this you?

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • 1-2 year of Occupational Therapist experience in a Home Health Care
  • Licensed/Registered Occupational Therapist to practice in the state of Alaska
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Alaska State Occupational Therapy certification
 
Physical Therapist “A Day in the life”
  • Provides initial and ongoing comprehensive easements of patient’s needs, including Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) easements.
  • Establishes a treatment plan in consultation with the physician and revises it with the approval of the physician as necessary.
  • Assists in development and implementation of the interdisciplinary patient care plan as it pertains to Physical Therapy.
  • Treats patients to relieve pain, develop or restore functional and maintain maximum performance, using physical means, such as exercise, massage, heat, water, light and electricity.
  • Consults and familiarizes staff regarding the established plan. Communicates with the physician at least every 30 days or whenever changes occur regarding the patient’s status and obtains additional orders, if necessary.
 
Is this you?
  • Able to drive and access patients’ homes which may not be routinely wheelchair accessible.
  • Able to bend, stoop, reach, and move patient weight up to 250 lbs., lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Licensed in the state of Alaska
  • Has at least two years of institutional/home health experience
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Physical Therapy
    • School must be approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospital of the American Medical Association in collaboration with the American Physical Therapy Association
 
What do we require from our OT’s and PT’s?
  • Auto insurance/Driver’s license
    • Driving record with the state of Alaska
  • Bachelor/Master degree in OT/PT
  • Must have a current CPR certification
  • Must have a finger print/criminal background check with the Department of Health and Social Services
