What we are looking for?
Avitus Group's Dental Billing Division is growing! We are excited to add an entry level Dental Billing Associate to our Aurora location. No dental billing experience is required, but having some dental experience can be helpful. We are willing to train the right person who is willing to learn, very detailed and organized and can easily multitask. The role of the Dental Billing Associate is to learn and apply with accuracy all steps of a dental billing revenue cycle to ensure maximization of cash flow while improving client relationships.  The Dental Billing Associate will also learn and perform other dental practice management systems such as hygiene recall management, knowledge of dental insurance plans, doctor credentialing, knowledge of accounting techniques, and/or business systems of a dental practice. This position establishes, maintains, and manages ongoing positive working relationships with clients, supervisors, and other Avitus Group team members. 

**This position will be on site in our Aurora headquarters (this is not a work from home/telecommute opportunity)**

‘Day in the life’:
  • Learn and perform accurate, effective and timely processes for:
    • Claim submissions including necessary attachments and narratives.
    • Posting EFT, credit card, and insurance payments.
    • Working both insurance and patient balances aging reports.
    • Insurance benefits verifications, re-verifications and entry into dental software systems.
    • Management of recall systems.
    • Provider new and re-credentialing.
    • Entering annual Insurance PPO fee schedules in to dental software systems.
    • Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
  • Ongoing effective communication and feedback with doctors, office managers, supervisors, Avitus dental team members, and other Avitus Group teams. 
  • Form strong relationships, and provides excellent customer service to Avitus Dental clients.

What do we require?
  • Some working knowledge and experience in dental revenue cycle management, and dental software systems is a plus
  • Some working knowledge with dental insurance plans, ADA/CDT coding, dental procedures and terminology is a plus
  • Basic knowledge, troubleshooting, and operations of technology, computer systems, and other office equipment.
